Job Description

As the Trade Communications Manager, you will ensure clear and compelling communication to internal and external stakeholders in order to maximize growth opportunities and adhere to corporate strategy.

You will be responsible for the driving the strategy and delivering fit for purpose content/ messaging for both B2B and B2C.

This position will be responsible for researching, writing and editing copy for print, trade ads, internal portals and other forms of media.

Duties and Responsibilities:

*Define trade communications strategy and implement, driving its internal branding  

*Communicate key messages to the trade media, trade associations & other stakeholders on all market and industry issues.  

*Assist Trade Activation Manager with the Sales & Marketing process working aligning with Sales Directors to ensure effective utilization of time and field resources.

*Manage & maintain effective relationships with Corporate Affairs and Brand Marketing to ensure consistency of external corporate communications messaging  

*Oversee the development & manage the on-going maintenance of the Trade portal

*Manage the cycle briefing process, ensuring timely and effective communication with and education of all key stakeholders. Produce the required material for the sales force, at all levels

*Manage, the Trade Communications budget to deliver cost savings and ensure efficient and effective coverage

*Adheres to general standards to promote a cooperative working environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.

Job Requirements

*At least 3 years relevant experience within a similar role that provides guidance and advice in the management and execution of customer engagement activities, preferably experience within FMCG with Marketing or Sales experience.

*Degree qualified or working towards Bachelor of Commerce/Business

* Strategic problem solver, with a clear business acumen and a proven history of managing a P&L.

* Creative thinker with the experience to create opportunity and influence cross-functional without direct reporting relationships

* Desire to make his/her mark in a fast-paced and dynamic high growth category with complex legal & regulatory principles
