Job Description

Reporting to the National Account Director, the Business Analyst is responsible for providing analytical support to the sales team to deliver annual commercial targets within Key Traditional Retail Accounts. This role primarily works with the National Account Director, Space Planning Manager, and the retailer to deliver Fontem’s commercial ambitions. This position focuses on providing analytical support to maximize product performance, conducting merchandising and financial analysis, creating tracking reports for promotional activities, conducting promotional planning, maximizing system functionality, building account forecasts, analyzing sales reports and evaluating retail performance and making recommendations. The role requires the leadership to work cross functionally with the Fontem Sales, Marketing, Finance, Revenue Growth Management, Supply Chain and IT organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the analytical sales support for a successful commercial delivery of Fontem’s Consumer & NSV targets within the focus Key Accounts
  • Develop and deliver analytical reports and make recommendations to help drive sales in targeted accounts
  • Work with the National Account Director to develop national and account specific promotions to drive sales and collaborate with replenishment to ensure distribution and reflection in the internal forecast
  • Work cross functionally with the sales, marketing, insights and supply chain teams to help build a bottom up forecast for focus Key Accounts
  • Assist in developing business reviews and weekly sales meetings
  • Coordinate presentation development for customer Joint Business Planning Meetings    
  • Provide account specific sales analysis insights and direction to the Consumer Marketing & Trade Activation teams to ensure developed activations within the focus Key Accounts engage targeted consumers & customers

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in business analysis preferably in the consumer goods industry
  • Strong analytical skills to consolidate and analyze data from multiple sources     
  • Market experience / understanding of different routes to market and the value of different sales channels
  • Creative thinker with the experience to create opportunity and influence cross-functionally without direct reporting relationships
  • Excellent track record of customer focused service delivery, B2B and B2C
